Count Cingaran of Caramas

Count Cingaran of Caramas is an Alshari exile who styled himself military governor of Farise following the Alshari occupation. An opium addict with a wandering eye (exotropia) and long stringy gray hair, he collaborated with the Merwyn faction against Farisian interests. He is exposed as a traitor, convicted, and publicly executed by lightning on Morningstar Beach — one of the most dramatic moments in the book.
