Lord Kanlan

Lord Kanlan is the injured Wilderlord of Anferny, a settlement in Anghysbel. He is father to Lady Tandine and Lord Kanset. The Alka Alon sorceress Lilastien heals him of his injuries during the expedition's visit to Anferny, establishing goodwill between the outside group and the isolated Wilderlords of Anghysbel. His recovery enables him to assist the expedition and facilitates the eventual evacuation of his people.

Lord Kanlan is the aging lord of Anferny in Anghysbel and father of Tandine and her brother Kanset. He appears in Preceptor accompanying his daughter into the political sphere. His advanced age requires special travel accommodations, and he navigates the complex politics of Anghysbel with the weariness of a man who has seen much conflict.
