Barony of Lotanz

Barony ยท The Magelaw

A frontier town of the Magelaw with one of the great Mirror Towers โ€” a rough transit point on the edge of the Penumbra.

Lotanz is a growing small town in the northern Magelaw, seated around Lotanz Tower, one of the key Mirror Array installations that binds the Magelaw together with Vanador and Sevendor. The region was granted to Baron Arborn, the Kasari-born husband of Baroness Pentandra and Master of the Wood to Duke Anguin. Its reeve Krepechen โ€” a scarred veteran disliked but trusted by all โ€” keeps order with a small absolute authority.

Lotanz is a critical logistical node during the campaigns against Korbal's Penumbra, channelling reinforcements and providing a waypoint for spies, drovers, and minstrels passing between rebel gurvani territory and the free north. It is also the humani-side base for the covert alliance with King Ashakarl's rebel goblin kingdom, with Krepechen/Koucey serving as the Goblin King's reeve on the Wilderlands side.
