The city is the seat of Duke Cloafin of Remere, and the political home of the Remeran branch of the royal family — Princess Armandra is the daughter of the Count of Remeralon, niece of Duke Cloafin, and cousin of Count Camavon. Armandra's quiet piety was formed in a temple of Ishi in Remeralon, where she was educated as a consecrated novice before her politically significant marriage to Prince Tavard.
Remeralon is one of the cities Minalan connects directly to Sevendor and Vanador through the arches in Marshal Arcane, placing it within the core ring of Waystone-connected capitals:
