Sashtalia

Barony · Dissolved · County of Lensely

The proud pretender barony west of Sevendor — whose three hundred lances were shattered and absorbed into the magelands during Book 7.

Sashtalia was once a Lensely cadet domain, but its lords broke from the family centuries ago and built a rival power commanding over three hundred lances. It was long at enmity with Sendaria, and its Sire Trefalan was a wary, grasping neighbour to Sevendor. Sashtalia largely avoided open war with Minalan after the fall of the Warbird, trusting that any move against Sevendor would invite Sendari invasion.

In Enchanter the war finally came. Arathanial invaded from the north while Minalan opportunistically carved off the southern estates, including Fistalia and the tenant domains that had quietly courted an alliance with Sevendor. Trefalan's defeat ended Sashtalia as an independent power: its core lands were divided between Sendaria's new cadet barony and Sevendor's expansion, making Minalan's barony contiguous with Arathanial's.
