Delioli

The Delioli are giants — massive humanoids brought from Alonaral to serve various purposes across history. Despite their fearsome size and the casual terror they inspire, the Delioli are technically Alon: they share distant ancestry with the Karshak Alon and the Alon Dradrien, representing a divergent branch of the great Alon family tree that grew large rather than stony or iron-forged.

The Delioli were hunted to near-extinction, their great size making them targets rather than protection when organized forces decided to eliminate them. Their numbers have dwindled to the point where encounters with living Delioli are extraordinarily rare, and their culture and traditions have been largely lost.

As an Alon sub-species, the Delioli presumably shared in the general Alon heritage of connection to the great network of life on Callidore, though their specific magical traditions and customs are poorly documented. Their relationship to the other Alon peoples — Alka, Karshak, Malkas, and others — is one of the many threads in the complex tapestry of Alon history.
