Nofani

The Nofani are a small and mysterious Alka Alon Kindred who know the Songs of mystery and memory. They keep their realm in a distant part of Callidore, apart from the other Alka Alon and largely outside the Council's normal business. Their songcraft concerns the preservation and retrieval of memory — both individual and communal — and is rumoured among the Alka Alon to include techniques that predate the settlement of Callidore entirely.

The Nofani are often referenced obliquely when the Alka Alon Council discusses the oldest magical traditions or the few Kindreds whose counsel is sought only in extremity. They are not hostile, merely private, and most of the working politics of the Alka Alon proceeds without them.
