The Apis

The Apis is a small bee-shaped focus of the Alka Alon make, given to Master Minalan by Lilastien for use in the closely-held school of magic the humani cheerfully call sex magic. The Apis sits between two willing partners, draws on the tide of arousal a paired working generates, and braids it into a single coherent stream that can be aimed at a target spell.

The technique is not, as the name suggests, principally a recreational one. It is the discipline that sealed the Boval molopor: the Apis was the focus through which Minalan and Alya pumped enough power into the Snowstone working to anchor a stable molopor relay across the Mindens. Lilastien teaches it sparingly; it is unsubtle, exhausting, and works only between partners with a real bond.
