Blizzard

Blizzard is Sir Rondal's mageblade, the second of the two original Bouleuterion-pattern swords issued to Master Minalan's apprentices. Where Slasher was built for cleaving, Blizzard is a fencing weapon: a slimmer profile, a finer point, and a hilt fitted with two minor shards instead of one larger pommel-stone.

Rondal, the more academic of the two knights magi, has used Blizzard chiefly as a research tool. Most of the modern Imperial Magic revisions on bound-blade enchantments come out of the notebooks he kept while practising drills with it; the textbook spellbinding that cracked the Censor's shard at the end of the Kasari Sacred Quest was first worked through on Blizzard before it was ever cast in anger.
