Blizzard

Blizzard is Minalan the Spellmonger's personal warstaff, one of his most trusted and battle-proven magical weapons. Crafted with exceptional care and imbued with a sophisticated enneagram — nearly a personality of its own — Blizzard accompanied Minalan through countless engagements across the Goblin Wars and beyond. Minalan himself described the staff as almost a living creature, so much of himself had been invested in its creation.

In battle, Minalan frequently summoned Blizzard's arsenal of bound spells — including halberd blades and powerful protective and augmentation magics — to face enemies ranging from gurvani hordes to Nemovorti warlords. He kept the staff carefully tuned between campaigns, at various points loading it with necromantic spells and other specialized enchantment suites to suit the mission at hand.

Blizzard's fame spread widely enough that Sir Tyndal expressed a hope to inherit it someday, a testament to the staff's legendary status among Minalan's knights magi.

Late in Minalan's career, after Blizzard was upgraded with Divine energy, the staff was renamed Avalanche, reflecting its transformation into something far beyond its original enchantment.
