The Bouleuterion

Construct

Sevendor's great enchanters' workshop -- the working magical-industrial heart of the magelord economy. Built early in the Magelord era and continuously expanded; produces Sentry Rods, mageblades, snowstone-augmented enchantment substrates, the Sevendor pipe collection, and most of the Five Duchies' commercial-grade magelord weaponry.

The Bouleuterion is Sevendor's great enchanters' workshop: the working magical-industrial heart of the magelord economy. Built early in the Magelord era when Minalan's influx of refugee craftsmen and licensed magi made specialised production viable, the Bouleuterion has continuously expanded through the saga and is the largest enchantment-production facility in the Five Duchies by some margin.

Function

The Bouleuterion is not a single workshop but a complex of dedicated workshops sharing infrastructure:

  • Sentry Rod production (under Banamor's Spellwarden office, originally Dranus-empowered).
  • Mageblade forging (in collaboration with Master Cormaran in Tudry and the Yltedene Dradrien).
  • Snowstone-enchantment substrates — cut and prepared snowstone fragments ready for binding into Waystones, witchstones, and other enchantments.
  • Magical Mirror production — the Mirror Array's working terminals.
  • Pocket stones, hoxter pockets, novelty enchanted goods — the lower-tier production that funds the operation.
  • The Sevendor pipe collection — Banamor's personal hobby that became a regional luxury market.

Economics

The Bouleuterion is the working source of Sevendor's post-snowstone wealth. By the late saga its output is the magical-industrial backbone of the Magelaw, supplying Vanador's warmagi, the Magelaw garrisons, the Estasi Order's knights magi, the Alshari Tower Arcane's researchers, and substantial export markets in Castabriel, Falas, and Remere. The Sevendor Magical Fair is the Bouleuterion's annual showcase.

Staffing

Banamor is the day-to-day manager. Master Cormaran consulted on the early mageblade work. Carmella contributed engineering principles and consulted on most major enchantment-classes. Younger magelords (Gareth, Rael, others) cycled through the Bouleuterion as part of their professional training before taking up senior posts elsewhere in the Magelaw.
