He briefs Tyndal and Rondal over wine at Banamor's tavern about his last meeting with Lilastien (she "looked terrible... as if she hadn't slept in days. Weeks"), about Carmella's transformation into a Malkas Alon to marry Rumel, and about the politics of Ashakarl's court -- including the detail that Gurkarl is wintering there and likely to be found wherever there is free ale and willing company.
Treats urgency as an Alon convenience he can usually ignore, which Rondal suspects is largely a cover for laziness.
