Enchantress
Daughter of Master Andalnam of Sevendor, one of the greatest enchanters of his generation -- and proprietor of the Wizard's Mercantile outpost in Vanador. Less adept at enchantment than her famous father, but with a rare talent for buying and selling that has grown the Mercantile into a major commercial success, trading mage-milled lumber and furs from the gurvani territories for exotic goods from across the kingdom.
In The Golden Goblin she agrees to act as Tyndal and Rondal's supplier for the journey -- keeping their supply wands stocked through her paired "mate" wand -- and briefs Tyndal on the politics, fashions, and trade routes of the Goblin Kingdom. (Goblin courtiers are increasingly wearing velvet doublets, surcoats, and shoes; the only cobbler in Kral Krebhet has a backlog.) She and Tyndal share an old comfortable banter going back to their Long March days, and she promises to teach Tandine how to use her new Magic Mirror.
