Lady of Northwood, Matchmaker
Lady Sarsha is introduced at the Chepstan Fair as "Sigalan's comely sister, as tall as her brother, and dressed prettily for the fair." She accompanies her brother to Minalan's encampment, actively participates in conversation, cheerfully admires Sir Cei during the jousts:
I never noted how handsome Sir Cei was until I saw him throw his helmet in bloodlust, after winning his second bout.
Sits with Minalan's party in the stands, provides color commentary on the tournament, and later joins Alya's shopping expedition. Minalan brokers her marriage to Sir Roncil of Northwood (Bovali knight).
Brief. She is now Lady of Northwood, enthusiastically married to Sir Roncil. Sir Roncil testifies:
A more loving and affectionate wife has never been brought to altar.
Referenced as "Sire Stancil of Northwood and his bride, Sire Sigalan's sister Sarsha" (author typo for Roncil in one instance). Still in Northwood. Her brother Sigalan acknowledges uncomfortably: "Sarsha always suffered from a lusty manner."
Brief name-drop: "Alya immediately sensed an opportunity and huddled with Sarsha to compile potential prospects" for Sigalan's potential wife.
