The Academic Order of Magic was established to advance the scholarly and theoretical dimensions of magic — a counterweight to the militaristic focus of the warmagi orders. Baron Dunselen serves as its head, pursuing a vision of noble magical bloodlines and disciplined institutional study. The Order sometimes clashes with the warmagi culture it sees as "thuggish brutes," and advocated for stricter regulation of experimental enchantment. It operates from the Arcane Orders' chapterhouse network.
