Hesian Order of Warmagi

The Hesian Order is distinguished among warmagi organizations for its focus on support and supply, fortifications, and military construction rather than combat magic alone. Led by Carmella, the Order played a vital role in Minalan's campaign to build a string of pele forts along the Penumbra edge in the Alshari Wilderlands. Hesian warmagi work alongside Karshak craftsmen and use earth elementals and specialized construction enchantments to build fortifications in days that would otherwise take months.

The Order's headquarters is at Salik Tower, one of the frontier fortifications Carmella oversaw. Each completed tower in the network became a commandary of the Hesian Order, staffed with a resident warmage. The Order also conducts paid engineering work for nobles throughout the Wilderlands.
