The Enshadowed are an ancient outlawed faction of the Alka Alon, banished by the Council for their extremist views and violent methods. They are rigid traditionalists who see the current Alka Alon Council and the Three Kingdoms as corrupt deviations from a purer order. They despise humanity with intense ideological fervor — a hatred that dates back to the earliest days of human settlement on Callidore, when the novelty of the humani distracted the Council from what the Enshadowed saw as existential internal matters.
Driven underground for centuries, the Enshadowed retreated to remote groves, ancient caverns, and hidden refuges, patiently building toward an eventual resurgence. They are fanatical, militant, and capable of working through human and non-human agents alike. Their spellcraft is deliberately obscure — sometimes inventing entirely unique magical systems to create tools and weapons untraceable to known arcane traditions. Their operations involve infiltrating the Alka Alon Council and conspiring over generational timescales. The dark mage Korbal and his Nemovorti allies operate as part of their broader scheme.
