Avalanti

The Avalanti are the most numerous of the Alka Alon Kindreds — a peaceful, woodland-loving people whose songs command life, growth, and the slow patience of trees. They are the Kindred most likely to be encountered in groves, gardens, and forest settlements, and their cultural reputation is for mischief rather than violence: harmless pranks, whimsical illusions, and a cheerful disregard for the dignity of the grumpier Kindreds.

Lady Fallawen and her father Lord Aeratas are Avalanti nobility; most of the Tree Folk who serve as Alka Alon ambassadors to humanity (Ithalia, Varen, Fallawen) are drawn from this kindred. The Avalanti know the Songs of life and growth, which makes them the natural gardeners and healers of their species.
