Versaroti

The Versaroti are the builders, makers, and poets of the Alka Alon — devoted to creation in all its forms, from epic song-cycles to the construction of the great Alka Alon cities. They know the Songs of craft and creation, the songcraft that raises tree-cities, carves molopor-gates into living rock, and weaves rainbow-lattices into citadel walls. The rainbow-cloaked defences of Anthatiel itself were Versaroti work.

The House of Aeratas, ruler of Anthatiel (later Olum Seheri), is a Versaroti line claiming ten thousand years of unbroken rule back to the first Alka Alon arrival on Callidore. Fallawen is his heir and the most prominent Versaroti character in the main series. The Versaroti are also among the strongest voices on the Alka Alon Council, and the kindred most likely to produce the great public works — cities, citadels, public monuments — that define the Alka Alon presence on the Dry.
