The perpetual tempest in the Shattered Sea — a weaponised molopor serving as the Storm King's sea axe, called "the bane of the fleets" and "the Sorrow of the Shattered Sea."
Stormbringer is the perpetual magical storm dominating the Shattered Sea, revealed in Practical Adept to be a molopor operating as a weapon. It is unique among the known molopors in that it has been bent to purpose — harnessed into a geopolitical and meteorological force — and its true nature stunned Minalan when he finally recognised it with magesight. As Durgan Jole names it for him:

Minalan goes on to note what makes it different from every other rift of its kind:
Usually, when a wizard is speaking of a unique natural phenomenon, it has the good taste to lurk in a secluded grove or a distant cavern or otherwise at the margins of civilized lands, out of the way and difficult to find.
