Molopor
A natural aperture in the fabric of Callidore where the Magosphere leaks raw — the opposite of a jevolar. Each known molopor is a pillar of magical power, and each behaves differently.
A molopor is a natural, stable rift in the fabric of Callidore through which the Magosphere pours into the world unmediated. Where a jevolar suppresses magic, a molopor is its opposite — a point where the veil is thin and arcane power bleeds through endlessly. They are exceedingly rare. The three in the main storyline — the Boval Vale molopor, the Snowflake at Sevendor, and Stormbringer in the Shattered Sea — are each a defining force of the region that contains them.
Molopors are not identical. Each has its own character, its own rhythm, and in some cases its own intelligence. The Boval Vale molopor is the ancient one the gurvani uncovered when they breached Sire Koucey's cave; the Snowflake beneath Sevendor is an intact lattice of snowstone around an active molopor; Stormbringer is a weaponised molopor operating as a permanent magical tempest over the Shattered Sea. Other molopors are rumoured or known to the Alka Alon, but these three are the ones in active play through the series.
