A gift from the Vundel — a living coral that grows on specific reefs, whose properties are key to several of Minalan's late-series constructs.
Yellow Knot Coral is one of the biological gifts the Vundel provide in trade for Minalan's snowstone — a living coral cultured on the Golden Reefs of the Shallow Sea, with arcane properties the Vundel have spent millennia selecting for. It is used in Minalan's and Lilastien's later constructs — among them the advanced medical applications Lilastien brings out of Henga Hospital, and the experimental thaumaturgic devices the Magelaw's arcanists assemble in the workshops at Spellgarden.
Yellow Knot Coral is part of a larger pattern: the Vundel, whose reefs have been starving for centuries, release older samples of their engineered biology to humanity as a reward for work that restores their ecosystem. Where snowstone feeds the reefs, the reefs feed the Magelaw's next generation of magic.
