Dranus of Moros

In The Mad Mage of Sevendor, Dranus of Moros is a Remeran count who earns appointment as Duke Cloafin's new court wizard after his adept defense of his region against the Merwyni incursion. He is considered an outsider to Remeran court politics, which is precisely why Cloafin chose him — to avoid the deadly political competition for the post. He is well-versed in warmagic, a departure from the traditional Remeran court wizard role. He attends the victory banquet at the Curia as the newly appointed court wizard and is toasted by Minalan and the magi. Minalan notes he genuinely likes Dranus, describing him as "a very serious fellow" for a Remeran.
